Admissions & Enrollment Policies

Understand what to prepare, what to pay, and what to expect as you begin your journey at Buff Beauty Academy in Charlotte.

01 / Your path to BBA

Admissions for future professionals.

Buff Beauty Academy welcomes applicants without regard to race, creed, color, religion, financial status, country or ethnic origin, age, or sex.

  1. Complete the online application.
  2. Participate in an admissions conversation or interview to discuss your goals, program, schedule, and payment plan.
  3. After admissions review, provide required documents, complete your enrollment agreement, and make the required payments.
  4. Receive enrollment confirmation and instructions for your first class.

An application does not reserve a seat. Enrollment is confirmed after the required paperwork and payments are completed.

02 / Get prepared

Your enrollment documents.

Prepare your photo identification and the Social Security documentation requested by admissions. The team will confirm the complete document checklist and how to provide it during enrollment.

Provide sensitive identification documents through the process designated by admissions—not by regular text message.

Review your enrollment agreement and student handbook before signing. Ask admissions to explain any requirement you do not understand.

03 / Understand your investment

Tuition, registration & payments.

Program tuition and registration
ProgramTuitionRegistration
Nails · Regular$4,500$150 additional
Nails · Saturday-only$5,500$150 additional
Esthetics · Regular$7,500$150 additional
Esthetics · Saturday-only$9,500$150 additional

The $150 registration fee is nonrefundable and separate from tuition. After admissions approval, you will receive enrollment instructions and the registration payment link. In-person payment is also available.

The regular Nail Technology down payment is $1,500 toward tuition. Confirm down payments for Esthetics and Saturday-only tracks, any additional costs, and your payment schedule with admissions before enrolling.

Ask about paying in full, installment arrangements, Afterpay, or Klarna. Third-party payment options are subject to provider approval and terms. Your enrollment agreement specifies your financial obligations.

Hydrafacial certification costs extra. It is not included in Esthetics tuition, and the certification kit is purchased separately. Contact admissions for current pricing.

Kit distribution follows the training sequence and your enrollment agreement. Review all payment, cancellation, and refund terms in your enrollment documents before making payments.

04 / Learn & practice

Program hours & participation.

Esthetics requires 600 clock hours. Nail Technology requires 300 clock hours.

Training combines online theory assignments, classroom learning, hands-on instruction, and clinic-floor practice. Students complete required practical performances and participate in scheduled program activities.

Practice may include work on mannequins, peers, and clients under instructor guidance. These are hybrid programs, not fully online programs.

State Board preparation is part of your training. Admissions can direct you to current North Carolina Board requirements for examination and licensure.

05 / Plan your time

Class schedules.

Spanish-language theory available. Students who are not proficient in English can access theory in Spanish. Ask admissions how theory, hands-on instruction and assessments are delivered for your program.
